❋ FOR THOSE TRAVELLING FROM THE UK

Legal psilocybin retreats. Two hours from home.

The work that isn't yet possible at home is available here in the Netherlands, held with care, in English, by someone who understands where you're coming from. Just a short journey away.

How this came to be

About the Retreat Programme

In the Netherlands, psilocybin truffles can be used openly under Dutch law, creating the conditions for grounded, careful psychedelic work. MAGUEY was born out of this context, and it’s what makes coming here worth the journey.

Being British, I understand the particular frustration of watching psychedelic work expand elsewhere while options at home stay limited. What I offer at MAGUEY is built around the individual: a private, bespoke retreat programme that allows us to get to the root of who you are, where you're coming from, and what you need before, during, and after the ceremony. Psilocybin is one part of it — the preparation and integration that surround it are equally important, and the work continues long after you leave.

What MAGUEY Offers

Ways we work, shaped around your goals

Private Retreat Programmes

Tailored, one-on-one

Most people who come to MAGUEY from the UK work with me privately. Your dates, your focus, your pace. This allows for a fully personal programme, where everything — from our first conversation to your last integration session — is shaped entirely around you.

Online Preparation & Integration

Without leaving the UK

If you've had a psychedelic experience elsewhere and want support making sense of it, I offer standalone preparation and integration sessions online.

Bespoke Group Programmes

For those with a group in mind

Occasionally, I work with small, private groups — partners, close friends, or colleagues — who want to journey together. If you have a group in mind, it's worth a conversation.

Why not a bigger retreat centre?

Larger psilocybin retreat centres are efficient, but MAGUEY isn't trying to be efficient. The work is done in a bespoke and personal manner that honors the sacredness of this work and allows me to understand your intentions and needs. We walk this path together in the spirit of co-creation.

❋ What Participants From the UK Have Said

Voices from the UK

“In hindsight, I’ve realised that the part Nigel played was analogous to a mountain guide. He didn’t just give me a map, we were together for the whole journey. Not only was my safety assured, I saw things that would have been hidden without his depth of experience and knowledge. The insight I received arrived the next morning and has been quietly life changing.”

— John, Manchester

“Nigel's gentle presence and understanding nature from the start helped me feel safe and comfortable throughout my journey. I appreciated his awareness of my previous negative experience with psychedelics, and he created a supportive and safe space for me to explore the healing potential of psilocybin.
Nigel's empathetic and compassionate approach, along with his deep knowledge of psychedelics and the human psyche, was evident in every interaction we had.”

— Julia, London

“I could not have asked for a better guide than Nigel for this experience. His kindness and deep intuition were very supportive in both of the journies I took. Nigel really knows how hold space and be deeply present even when the journey can become difficult. The whole experience, from the first introductory call to the integration session as very well designed and supportive”

— Lee, Leamington Spa

What seems to matter, coming from the UK

❋ What UK Participants Find

Legal makes a difference

Many UK participants describe the simple relief of doing the work in a setting where it's permitted — not hidden. For many UK participants, that peace of mind is felt from the very first conversation.

Speaking the same language

Not only speaking the language, but the references, the humour, the way British people relate to vulnerability. Having someone who reads the room the way you do turns out to matter more than expected.

The journey to get here is small

A short trip from the UK to Amsterdam, most guests describe the travel to get here as the easiest part. The more challenging and meaningful part happens once you arrive.

Continued self-discovery

The programme includes ongoing remote support after the ceremony: integration sessions and a continued invitation to continue the inner work in the weeks that follow. What shifted in the ceremony is carried carefully into daily life, and we stay with you for that.

About Nigel · Founder & Lead Facilitator

As the founder and lead facilitator at MAGUEY, Nigel is an experienced, trauma-informed psychedelic guide and integration coach, supporting people to reconnect with their inner truth and navigate life’s deeper currents. Nigel believe that personal healing not only nourishes the individual, but ripples outward to support collective wellbeing and transformation.

He trains and works within the Guild of Guides, a community of practitioners committed to ethical facilitation, ongoing development, and accountability in psychedelic work. Additionally, he is a guide with the psychedelic collective Nectara and also supports other plant medicine retreat centres in the Netherlands and around the world with facilitation and integration services.

Each participant speaks with Nigel directly throughout, from the first call to the last integration session.
