Artificial Intelligence and Psychedelic Integration - a creative conversation

In September, I had the pleasure of joining a rich and thought-provoking Instagram Live conversation with former MAGUEY participant and two-time retreat guest, @tales.of.karoo. Together, we explored the emerging intersection between Artificial Intelligence, art, and psychedelic integration.

To be honest, the world of AI was something I had mixed feelings about—new, unfamiliar, and a bit intimidating. But this dialogue opened my eyes to how AI can serve as a powerful tool for creativity and integration.

Here are some of the themes we explored:

• Creativity and psychedelics: How psychedelic experiences can unlock creative flow and expand self-expression.

• Art as integration: Using artistic practices to make sense of psychedelic insights, especially when words fall short.

• The untranslatable made tangible: Exploring how creative and visual expression can bridge the gap between ineffable experience and everyday life.

• AI as a creative ally: How artificial intelligence can support, inspire, and democratise access to the creative process.

• Letting go in parallel: The similarities between surrendering to a psychedelic journey and letting go into the unknown of the creative act.

• AI as community: Seeing AI not as a threat, but as a collaborative partner in the integration and creative process.
